Laser Dentistry is a revolutionary surgical tool that has been used in dentistry for over 25 years for various procedures. Lasers are a gentle and noninvasive tool which often require little or no anesthetic.

Dr. Engleman utilizes the NV laser for soft tissue procedures where excess tissue surrounds the front of the tooth. Often this is a canine tooth that has too much gum tissue and a bracket needs to be placed. Gently removing the extra tissue allows a  bracket to be bonded and the tooth can be connected to the arch wire. Lasers can also be used to treat canker sores and cold sores. This treatment takes seconds without the need for anesthetic, often before the ulcer causes pain.
